The reporting for this trek is at Uttarkashi. Transport can be optionally arranged from Haridwar/Rishikesh/Dehradun at extra cost. This would have to be informed at least 10 days in advance for the necessary arrangements. The Dayara Bugyal trek has beautiful meadows and in winters it is used for skiing lessons for the uninitiated. These are wide open meadows, which take lush green colour during the months of May till September. The meadows is sprinkled with beautiful flowers of different colours like yellow, blue, green and others. In the months of October the meadows take a brownish tinge. In November an December there are chances of snowfall which may make the meadows bright snow white in colour. You get clear views of the mountains from here, if the weather remains clear. You get beautiful views of Black Peak, Bandarpoonch, Surya Top, Srikant, Jaunli, Draupadi Ka Danda, Kush Kalyan Bugyal. Local shepherds make this their home during the months of May to September, after which they come down.

  • Day 1

    Uttarkashi to Barsu to Barnala

    Maximum Altitude: 2700

    Distance Covered: 4 km

    Accomodation Type: Tents and Sleeping bags

    On this day we will start from Uttarkashi at 9 am. We will drive down to Barsu, it will be a 2 hour drive to Barsu. From Barsu we will trek to Barnala, this will take us three to four hours approximately. We will camp at Barnala for the night. We will have some nice steep climbs to reach Barnala. It will be an interesting day for the beginner trekkers in the Indian Himalayas.

  • Day 2

    Baranala to Dayara Bugyal

    Maximum Altitude: 3050

    Distance Covered: 5 km

    Accomodation Type: Tents and sleeping bags

    We will start after breakfast. We will have moderately steep climb to reach Dayara Bugyal. We will take nearly 3 to 4 hours to reach Dayara Bugyal. We will see beautiful view of meadows from here. If the weather permits we can have a leisurely time at the camp site, people can indulge in their favourite past times. Earlier treks we had enthusiasts do yoga and other refreshing activities in theses beautiful meadows.

  • Day 3

    Dayara Bugyal to Bakria Top to Dayara Bugyal

    Distance Covered: 8 km

    Accomodation Type: Tents and sleeping bags

    After breakfast we will start towards Bakria Top. Bakria top is wonderful viewpoint for taking photographs and selfies. It will be a steep climb all the way to the top till Bakria Top. We come down from Bakria Top to Dayara Bugyal for lunch. We will have hot lunch at the campsite.

  • Day 4

    Dayara Bugyal to Raithal

    Maximum Altitude: 2100

    Distance Covered: 9 km

    Accomodation Type: Tents and sleeping bags

    We will start the day after breakfast and with packed lunch with us. We will proceed to Raithal, which will be completely downhill all the way. We will take five to six hours to reach Raithal. We will be walking through forests and will pass by some beautiful meadows enroute before we reach Raithal. We will camp at Raithal for the night.

    Raithal to Uttarkashi
