‘Tal’ means lake. This trek takes you to the beautiful Kedartal,
through forests of Birch and Cedar trees, Meadows and crystal clear
At Kedartal one can view the reflection of the mighty Mt.
Thalaysagar. Like an emperor, protected by his lieutenant - Mt
Bhrigupanth, Mt Thalaysagar stands in all his glory, wearing his
white snow jacket and looking down at the trekkers. Don’t forget to
bow down while you are there.
Lake Kedartal is surrounded by peaks all around, camping here can
get more exciting than you can imagine, especially with the sounds
of cracking glaciers which could be confused for Avalanches or maybe
there was one close by!
The trek to Kedartal, passes through a place called Bhoj Kharak,
Bhoj means the Birch tree, as there is an abundance of Birch trees
